And when it comes to fashion, especially to personify
an era… and especially when it comes to movies…
nothing is more identifiable than hats!

era has been defined, in many ways simply by the hats our
superstars wear. Especially our beloved actresses. Whereas
men, for the most part, keep bringing back a few classic
styles, from the Gatsby
Cap, to the Astaire Top
Hat, from
the John Wayne and Lone
Ranger Stetson, to the Bogart and Indiana Jones
Fedora , all of which stay in our collective conciseness
like a local 24 hour diner’s menu, the appearance of a woman’s
hat can start a virtual revolution in that decades fashion
parade!
Baron Hats is proud, in all its years as Hollywood’s
Hatmaker ™, to
have been a big part in creating this legendary hat history!
And it’s doubly exciting to still be at the cutting-edge
of the craft. Our studio has continued to create some of
the most impressionable and breakout hat styles, for both
men and women for Movies and TV, along with the diva’s of
Music and Stage. You’ll find our hats adorning the heads
of such trend setters as Madonna, Britney Spears, Jennifer
Lopez ("J-Lo" to her fans!"), and Janet
Jackson, along with many of the rising stars in Hip-Hop
and beyond!
As a homage to the great woman of screen, TV, music and
the 
stage, we dedicate this page. Baron Hats is one of the very
few studios to employee both Haberdasher’s for men and a
full staff of the best Milliners for women. We even have
several designers whose only duty is to create both legendary
woman’s hats inspired by the classics, and original designs
exclusively for our studio.
Our hand-made-to-order original hats in this series are
designed to be crafted so that all women can pamper themselves
by purchasing something extra special. And, of course, there
is no greater gift!

As created for “W” magazine. “Dynasty” style, flowing brim from front to back.
Covered with specially created stretched buckram crepe.
Hand-formed paisley “butterfly wings” made of
souffle d'ange fabric covered designer wire.

“THE GARDEN PARTY”
Without
a doubt one of our most unusual and talked about
“World of Woman” hats! This striking white velour
felt bowler is decorated with a handmade gardening
glove sewn right into the crown, reminiscence
of the kinds of hats alluring "donne belle"
actresses wore in those wonderfully romantic
summer encounters in the "affari agricoli
di amore del coltivatore" style of Italian
Cinema!
As in the hats from those classics, the hat is surrounded by a delicate
bouquet of silk
flowers, and is bordered by a black 1/.2” grosgrain hatband.

This midnight black “Dynasty style” hat is covered in special silk-satin fleur de doigt fabric and black binding, interlaced with silver taches to create a moon-light like shimmer throughout.
On the left side, to accentuate the dreamy glistening effect is a flowing trim made of black faux cheveux de cheval , and inter-weaved with rhinestones to catch the ethereal light.
