Trainer" Inspired by the
classic "Workman's Fedora" worn by Chris Cooper in the
motion picture “Seabiscuit”*
This classic "Workman's Fedora" is inspired by
the one Baron Hats made for Academy Award™ winning actor
Chris Cooper as the character of “Tom Smith”. It has the
rugged construction and styling of a “man’s man” hat. These
were the days when cowboys who were forced into the cities,
gave up their Stetson’s for
their own reworked version of the fedora.
The hat had to hold up to the rigorous demands of their
work day, whether it be taming wild horses, or wild women
(this was also the style adopted by the gumshoes of the
thirties and forties, including Humphrey Bogart’s "Sam
Spade"). "The Trainer" comes in chocolate
brown with an extra wide grosgrain ribbon hat band, and
comes with a numbered and signed Certificate of Authenticity,
a custom made leather sweatband, along with a silk-satin
inner lining with the Baron Hat logo. This custom-hand-made-to-order
classic will last for years, and take you back to simpler
times when hard work paid off!
