 Because of the Top Hats unique mystique, they have been used for years as a symbol of wonderfully iconoclastic non sequitur personalities. From mad rabbits, to dancing guerillas, to bikers and rock stars, to western snake oil salesmen, to demented Radio DJ’s, to depression era fire-and-brimstone tent evangelists, putting the top hat on the “less than top of society gentlemen” creates a delightful paradox. And what is more common in a movie story than a delightful paradox, or eccentric characters?
Therefore Baron Hats has been creating fanciful Top Hats for such productions. Many have become classics in their own right, and we have received an enormous amount of requests to make them available for sale. So we are now offering reproductions of some of
our most famous original creations! As with all Baron Hats custom creations, these hats come with the famous blue Baron logo silk lining.

This all hand-tooled leather Top Hat is inspired by the one worn by SLASH of “Guns and Roses”, which was designed and created by Baron’s California Hats for the cult Television Series: The Mullets.

out of special heavy-duty hand-tooled black leather. All hand stitched and embossed. Each hat has slightly different design, since each is custom made to order. Top stitch crown binding is a trademark of this special hat.

“THE GALLANT”
|
Made to exacting details to the top hats worn by “gallant dudes” in the wild west of the 1800’s. Many city folk brought their high-fashioned top hats to the west, and adapted them. Their shape widened like the wide-open spaces they saw before them,
and their brims became larger to accommodate the “big sky” sun they found themselves in. “The Gallant” is a custom made 100% Sable Fur, and is an exact replica of the top hats the “dandies” of the west… bankers, ranchers, politicians, and just those that struck it suddenly rich were known to wear.
